Use EQ-i 2.0, EQ-i 360, PSCI and MBTI to add value to your coaching

Assessment services are provided to assist our own clients, to support other coaches in their own development, and to enable other coaches and people development professionals to add value to their own programs without the overheads involved in gaining accreditation.

Emotional Quotient Inventory 2.0 (EQ-i 2.0® and EQ-i 360TM)
Released in 2011, EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360 are the most up-to-date emotional intelligence instruments. Both are available on-line and are supported by personal coaching sessions by telephone or Skype to understand your in-depth report and plan action to improve your EQ.
Often used in the workplace, the EQ-i 2.0 is also useful for exploring emotional intelligence in any area of our lives and is based on self-reporting.
Now you can choose to have your individual results presented to you as a Leadership Report or a Workplace Report.
New in 2014! A Group Report is now available which analyses the emotional intelligence of a work group (while still preserving the confidentiality of individual results), discusses the organisational implications, and provides strategies for action.
Follow the links for a sample of each.
EQ-i 360 compares self-reporting with the reports of other groups which may include managers, peers, staff, family or other groups of importance to the individual. This comparison provides a more complete 360-degree profile and assists in targeting action to develop EQ. Follow the link for a sample of the EQ-i 360 Report .
What is Emotional Intelligence? - Emotional intelligence is a set of emotional and social skills that influence the way we perceive and express ourselves, develop and maintain social relationships, cope with challenges, and use emotional information in an effective and meaningful way.
Why is Emotional Intelligence important?- Emotional intelligence has been shown to be a powerful predictor of personal and professional success. No matter how intellectually intelligent we are, our success is still significantly governed by how well we communicate our ideas and interact with others. This applies equally in work and personal relationships.
Can I change my Emotional Intelligence?- YES! Unlike IQ and personality which are relatively fixed, our emotional intelligence grows and changes over time. We can work to leveraging those areas of EQ where we have strengths, and work to explore and develop others. Measuring EQ is the first step.
What is the EQ-i model?
The EQ-i 2.0® is the most recent iteration of the first scientifically validated and most widely used emotional intelligence assessment in the world.
Based on more than 20 years of research worldwide, the EQ-i 2.0® provides an in-depth analysis of an individual’s social and emotional strengths and weaknesses based on self-reporting by the individual. The EQ 360 utilises the model and also provides additional flexibility to gain responses in relation to other identified areas of interest.
The EQ-i model reports on the five composite areas, and 15 sub-scales shown in the diagram.
Generally it will take about 20-30 minutes to complete the assessment, and an in-depth, personalised report provides the basis for exploring the EQ concepts, your EQ profile and determining how to leverage and develop your EQ.

Personal Coaching Styles Inventory (PCSI ®)
PCSI a self-assessment tool to quickly determine your natural communication style as a coach, coaching client, executive, manager or supervisor. Adds depth to your coaching or other relationships and supports you to flex your style to support colleagues, clients and customers.
Think of a time when...
- you experienced frustration when trying to talk to another person
- they just didn't seem to understand what you were trying to say, no matter how hard you tried.
Now, think of a time when...
- you really connected with another person and amazing things happened
- you built off each other's ideas
- the conversation flowed easily
- you achieved the result you were hoping for.
The PCSI is a self-assessment tool that helps you to understand how communicate and connect with others. You will gain a deeper understanding of the four principal communication styles and how these influence behaviour and interactions during coaching and other conversations.
Anyone can learn to flex their styles to better communicate with colleagues, managers, family and friends. The PCSI focusses on strengths and provides practical guidance in overcoming our vulnerabilities in communication.
The PCSI can be used as an enhancement tool for managers, executives, staff, consultants, business owners, human resource professionals, coaches, and other professionals.
Turning Point Coach partners with other coaches and professionals to enable them to gain the value provided by the PCSI without needing their own accreditation. Denise Paech administers the PCSI and provides debriefing coaching which you can integrate into your own program with your client. The PCSI is also powerful tool for coaches and other professionals to understand and flex their coaching styles with different clients.

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®)
The MBTI instrument is a self assessment tool to understand your natural personality preferences and how they affect your needs, behaviour, motivation, energy, decision making, and relationships with others.
Used for more than 50 years and translated into more than 15 different languages, the MBTI instrument has assisted millions of individuals to gain clarity and insight into their interactions in the world.
The results help you understand normal differences in the way people think, communicate, and interact and to understand more about yourself an others. There is no best type or preference - each type has its own strengths and gifts. An understanding of our own type provides clarity on:
- our strengths, potential difficulties, how we communicate, our relationships, how we learn;
- our work, career, team role and leadership preference;
- how we handle stress; and
- how our type develops over the course of our life.
In addition to taking the instrument, Denise Paech provides support in understanding the concepts of type, understanding your own type and how you might use this information in your personal development.
